Main Purposes of the Post:

To oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Dartmoor Headwaters project for DNPA and support the integrated delivery of landscape scale initiatives in priority catchments

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage a multi-disciplinary team of staff and ensure integrated

delivery between the peatland and natural flood management projects

2. Coordinate delivery of conservation initiatives within priority catchments

to ensure wider integrated delivery and better outcomes

3. Help develop new projects both within the Headwaters programme and

across wider catchment initiatives

4. Work closely with key partners to build relationships and encourage

complementary delivery of catchment related initiatives

5. To promote Dartmoor Headwaters to partners, land managers and

communities, working as an advocate and champion for the catchment

approach

6. To co-ordinate and ensure delivery of approved communications plans,

ensuring positive engagement with all stakeholders and local communities.

7. Identify and help secure additional funding to facilitate further

Headwaters and catchment enhancements

8. Ensure project targets are met and review and monitor delivery against

performance objectives and agreed outcomes.

9. To liaise with all delivery partners to monitor and report on project

budgets and outcomes against the scheme milestones. Ensure

procurement procedures and policies are maintained and adhered too

10. To work safely, ensuring all safety procedures and other controls

identified by risk assessment are complied with and incidents reported

promptly and appropriately.

11. To be responsible for the day-to-day operational safety management of team members and others working with or for the Authority in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy.
